The Environment

Calechosa is on the Costa Alegre, a largely undeveloped strip of coast between Puerto Vallarta to the north and Manzanillo to the south. Most of the land immediately around Calechosa is untouched jungle. Our development tries to keep a light footprint that preserves wildlife on the land, seabirds and marine life in the bay. The dead-end road ensures that only a few cars and trucks come to the beach on a typical day. Homes on the property are limited in size and have green space around them. Our aim is to have a tranquil, beautiful and sustainable community that co-exists harmoniously with the spectacular natural setting.
